Project Overview

The Patchwork Co. is a collaborative brand formed by two artists. The challenge was to design a logo that captured both artists’ individuality while maintaining a unified, cohesive brand identity. It needed to feel organic, handmade, and balanced.

The Approach

To achieve this balance, I used design elements that suggested the brand’s handmade nature without being too literal. The goal was to create something personal yet unified, allowing each artist space to express their own style within a shared logo.


Design Solution

  • Hand-Drawn Elements: Incorporated hand-drawn lines to add a personal, artisanal touch.

  • Texture & Symbolism: Used subtle texture and symbolic design to enhance the organic, handmade feel.

  • Repetition: Brought harmony and balance through repetitive elements, symbolizing collaboration.

  • Minimal Color Palette: Chose a simple colour palette to keep the design flexible and adaptable, while allowing room for individual creativity.

Outcome

The logo successfully balances the personal identities of the two artists with the cohesive identity of the brand. It feels organic, unified, and aligned with the brand’s core values of handmade craftsmanship.
